Close enough to indulge in ‘wilderness on a whim’, Gwahumbe is a private game reserve in KZN, situated just an hour’s drive from Durban and a 45-minute drive from Pietermaritzburg. Our KZN game reserve is located in malaria-free Mid-Illovo, part of the greater Gwahumbe Valley. The nature reserve is home to riverine forest, valley bushveld, plateau grassland and majestic cliff faces looking over the river valleys below.
